The present paper presents the stress management of banking sector in India. Firstly, to discuss briefly the features of stress in bank employees. Secondly, to explain briefly the type of stress such as eustress and distress. Thirdly, to discuss briefly the stress and job performance. Fourthly, to list out briefly the causes of stress in banks such as environmental causes, organizational causes, characteristics of the work, work-overload, role in organization, relationships at work, organizational structure, organization’s culture, carrier development & job security, work & home interface and personal causes. Finally, it discusses the effects of stress such as performance, withdrawal behaviour and change in attitude of the employees in the banks. The present study provides valuable information regarding stress management of employees in the banking sector in India.
